The Cheney Place is an urban boutique wedding venue in West Michigan designed for those who can’t wait to design their “urban meets vintage meets modern” event. Our industrial wedding venue will woo you with its polished concrete and original hardwood floors, its frosted ware-house windows, and its turn of the century freight elevator. The open format and crazy flexible space screams of possibility.

And we just happen to have a warehouse full of furniture you don’t need to rent, a modern dinnerware collection, and a“Green Room” full of plants and decor to help design your ceremony and wedding reception.  Design just got a whole lot easier. We love old buildings. And we love great design. But what we love more is pulling it all together to help you create an amazing event.

The old school just down Leonard is now Leona Road – A modern wedding venue in West Michigan.

Leona Road is an event venue with weddings on the mind. We celebrate its history as a turn of the century elementary school that’s been fully renovated with Scandinavian modern styling, large open spaces with seating for 300, free on-site parking, a dedicated ceremony space, bridal suite, large bars, and a spacious catering kitchen.

Our shaded outdoor terrace has large trees and more than enough green space making it perfect for cocktail hour and outdoor lounge for your wedding reception. We engage design-forward clients with a modern dinnerware collection that includes your choice of plates, flatware, water goblets and more. 

The Foyer brings full service and design to your intimate wedding in West Michigan.

Our space is the just-right size and budget for your intimate wedding or special event of up to 125 guests. Parties are more fun when the space is comfortably full which gets tricky for smaller events when most full-service wedding venues are designed for events twice your size.

Our modern side-by-side venue provides dedicated spaces for your ceremony and reception with plenty of room for your cocktail hour.  This means your space will be picture-ready hours before your event begins and we won’t have to flip the ceremony to make room for your reception.  End the evening with a roomy lounge that’s focused on your party!

Our included dinnerware collection and full-service staff makes sure there’s nothing small about your experience. We also provide a built in sound system for background music and speeches so that’s one less thing you need to worry about.

As we’re a new wedding venue in West Michigan, we have plenty of prime dates available in 2026 and 2027.  We also host rehearsal dinners and showers for $750 which also include modern dinnerware and full service. 

Record Box Loft is an industrial wedding venue in West Michigan located on the riverfront in downtown Battle Creek. Our original hardwood floors, exposed brick and open floorplan flooded with natural light gives our space an urban, industrial vibe that’s perfect for a party.

After an extensive restoration of this historic building, built in 1902, it was rebranded as Record Box Loft to pay homage to its historic roots.

Once known as the Record Printing and Box Company, cereal boxes were printed here for many years in the cereal capital of the world.

Record Box Loft accommodates small groups of 50 up to large gatherings of 250 guests. Many onsite amenities are provided including onsite preparation rooms, wooden farmhouse tables, industrial chairs, an onsite catering prep kitchen and bar.

We are located in Southwest Michigan, approximately halfway between Chicago and Detroit and conveniently close to our surrounding communities including Kalamazoo, Jackson, Lansing and Grand Rapids.
